Schluter Systems DITRA-HEAT Warranty Update

Schluter Systems now offers the best extended warranty of all leading radiant floor heat manufacturers!

By performing a few simple tests and registering online or by mail, you can add 10 or 15 years of assembly repair, labor, & materials coverage to your existing warranty!

Remember, only DITRA-HEAT system products purchased through an authorized Schluter dealer like Warm Your Floor are eligible for any manufacturer warranty coverage.

Test 1  Conductor Resistance – Required

Test 2  Conductor & Ground Braid Continuity – Required

Test 3  Insulation Resistance – Recommended

Test 4  Temperature Sensor – Required

To maximize your warranty coverage, perform all required & recommended tests listed above (1 through 4) and receive assembly repair, labor, & materials coverage for the first 15 years from date of purchase.  All tests can be conducted using a multimeter.
Test 3, however, requires you to use a meghommeter, also known as a “megger”, which can be used for all the other tests as well.

Can’t get access to a meghommeter?  Don’t worry, you can extend your warranty to cover assembly repair, labor, & materials for the first 10 years from date of purchase by doing required tests (1, 2, and 4) listed above that only require a multimeter.

Don’t forget to register your warranty & test results by mail or online at schluter.com/registerwarranty to be eligible for your extended coverage.

What does this all mean?

Warm Your Floor urges customers to take full advantage of this warranty.
This means following our testing instructions to perform all four tests and registering them with Schluter by mail or online.

In the event that your DITRA-HEAT system goes down, having followed Warm Your Floor’s recommendation, you will not be head liable for expenses related to their repair of the assembly including labor & materials.  Here, “assembly” refers to all DITRA-HEAT materials (e.g. matting and heating cables), non-reusable flooring surfaces (i.e. tile or stone), and the appropriate setting and grouting materials.

Doing no tests & not registering your warranty will only cover the cost of replacement heating cable in the event of failure.
In this case, the customer is left with a bill for any labor, materials, and/or repair costs associated with taking the bad system out and installing a new one.

We’ve put together the following chart so you can more easily understand your warranty options:
